EatsRice.com was built for diesel enthusiasts who enjoy the diesel community. Before you start posting on EatsRice.com, you should first understand the rules:

1. Absolutely no pornography or nudity.
2. Keep the language clean.
3. Respect everyone.
4. Help the noobs. No high horses here.
5. No brand bashing. A little friendly joke here and there is fine. But remember, every truck has it's quirks.

The goal of EatsRice.com is to start a friendly diesel community that is welcoming of the new guy, no matter their mechanical skills or knowledge. ok i know you guys are trying to start a new forum that caters to all diesels and is always friendly to n00bs, but im sure all of the forums started out that way. all the forum OG's get tired of reading the same thread topic over and over and people start getting cranky because people dont know how to use a forum and search it. its just the way it is with these open diesel forums. you can have as high of hopes as you want for this place but its just going to end up like the rest of them in the end.

This one will not end up like the rest, because I'm not a mod on the rest of them lol. Telling a new member to use the search function is my biggest peeve on the forum. If a newb wanted to search he could use Google.
Yes it will be very hard to keep the peace among everyone, especially as the forum grows. If this forum has to stay this small to provide the environment that we have then I support keeping it tiny. I like looking into a thread and not finding a group of smartass comments toward a guy that doesn't know any better yet

In many business's, the employees take on the attitude of the owner/boss. The same with any forum. If the owner is an ass, the mod's will be ass's. If the owner is friendly and has a good attitude, that will carry down to the mods. And hopefully the mods attitude on the forum will carry down to the members. Obviously, we can't control everyone's actions, and there will never be a perfect forum, but we can do the best we can to create a friendly, helpful environment.
